ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING…
(author unknown)
There
once was a woman who woke up one morning,
looked in the mirror,
and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.
Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today ."
So she did and she had a wonderful day.
The next day she woke up,
looked
in the mirror
and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.
"H-M-M," she said,
"I think I'll part my hair down the middle today . "
So she did and she had a grand day.
The next day she woke up,
looked
in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head.
"Well," she said, "today I'm going to wear my hair in a
pony tail."
So she did and she had a fun, fun day.
The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her
head.
"YEA!" she exclaimed,
"I don't have to fix my hair today!"

I believe.... That just because two people argue, it doesn't mean
they don't love eachother. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't
mean they do.
I believe....That we don't have to change friends if we understand that
friends change.
I believe....That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt
you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
I believe....That true friendship continues to grow, even over the
longest distance. Same goes for true love.
I believe....That you can do something in an instant that will give you
heartache for life.
I believe....That it's taking me a long time to become the person I want
to be.
I believe....That you should always leave loved ones with loving
words.
It may be the last time you see them.
I believe....That you can keep going long after you think you
can't.
I believe....That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how
we feel.
I believe....That either you control your attitude or it controls
you.
I believe....That heroes are the people who do what has to be done
when
it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences. ;
I believe....That money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I believe....That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when
you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.
I believe....That sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be
angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I believe....That maturity has more to d o with what types of
experiences
you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do
with
how many birthdays you've celebrated.
I believe....That it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
I believe....That no matter how bad your heart is broken, the world
doesn't stop for your grief.
I believe....That our background and circumstances may have influenced
who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
I believe....Two people can look at the exact same thing and see
something totally different.
I believe....That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by
people who don't even know you.
I believe....That even when you think you have no more to give, when a
friend cries out to you - you will find the strength to help.
I believe....That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human
being.
I believe....That the people you care about most in life are taken from
you too soon.
I believe....That the happiest people don't necessarily have the
best
of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.

A RECIPE FOR HAPPINESS:
#1
- LIVE each day, enjoying life in the moment and making the best of each day
#2
- Love others deeply (and love yourself too!) and allow yourself to receive and
embrace great love from others
#3
- Laugh frequently, and have plenty of fun
#4
- Give to and care for others (and give to and care for yourself).
In giving, we receive.
#5
- Speak kindly to others (and also be kind to yourself!)
It all comes around.
#6
- Remember that no matter what happens, the sky isn't actually falling.
#7 - Life consists of a mixed bag of happiness and great fortune as well as sadness and bad fortune. Take notice that most happenings are good, and fortunate, not bad. Take notice of the many, many things that go right each day, compared to the very few things that go wrong. And when you must experience the bad, it means that you're alive and experiencing life, and being alive is very lucky, for you have the opportunity to experience many, many wonderful things to offset those significantly fewer hardships. And….we learn and grow stronger only by experiencing hardship.

SLOW DANCE
A
poem by
Davi
Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask "How are you?"
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say "Hi"
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift…
Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.

IF
I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER…
- By Erma Bombeck (after she
found out she was dying from cancer)
I would have gone to bed
when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern
if I weren't there for the day.
I would have burned the pink
candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage.
I would have talked less and
listened more.
I would have invited friends
over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded
I would have eaten the
popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when
someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.
I would have taken the time
to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.
I would have shared more of
the responsibility carried by my husband.
I would never have insisted
the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been
teased and sprayed.
I would have sat on the
lawn! With my grass stains.
I would have cried and
laughed less while watching television and more while watching life.
I would never have bought
anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed to
last a lifetime.
Instead of wishing away nine
months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the
wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a
miracle.
When my kids kissed me
impetuously, I would never have said, "Later. Now go get washed up for
dinner."
There
would have been more "I love you's" and more "I'm sorry's."
But mostly, given another
shot at life, I would seize every minute...look at it and really see it.. live
it and never give it back.

MENTAL
FENG SHUI
ONE.
Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their
conversational skills will be as important as any other.
THREE. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have, or sleep all you
want.
FOUR. When you say, 'I love you,' mean it
FIVE.
When you say, 'I'm sorry,' look the person in the eye.
SIX.
Be engaged at least six months before you get married.
SEVEN. Believe in love at first sight.
EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have
much.
NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to
live life completely.
TEN.
In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.
ELEVEN. Don't judge people by their relatives.
TWELVE. Talk slowly but think quickly.
THIRTEEN.
When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, 'Why
do you want to know?'
FOURTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
FIFTEEN. Say 'bless you' when you hear someone sneeze
SIXTEEN When you lose, don't lose the lesson.
SEVENTEEN. Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and
Responsibility for all your actions.
EIGHTEEN. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
NINETEEN. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to
correct it.
TWENTY.
Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.
TWENTY-ONE. Spend some time alone each day.

SOMETIMES
I WONDER....
Maybe
the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of
everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along
their way.
Maybe
the brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past;
after all, you can't go on successfully in life until you let go
of your past mistakes, failures, and heartaches.
Maybe
we were supposed to meet the wrong people before meeting the right one so
that, when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be
grateful for that gift.
Maybe
when the door of happiness closes, another opens; but, often times, we look so
long at the closed door that we don't even see the new one which has been
opened for us.
Maybe it is true that we don't know what we have until we lose it, but
it is also true that we don't know what we have been missing until it
arrives.
Maybe you should dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go, be
what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do
all the things you dream of, and want to do.
Maybe there are moments in life when you miss someone -- a parent, a spouse, a
friend, a child, your girlfriend/boyfriend -- -- so much that you just want
to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real, so that once they are
around you appreciate them more.
Maybe the best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with,
never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best
conversation you've ever had.
Maybe you should always try to put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that
something could hurt you, it probably will hurt the other person, too.
Maybe you should do something nice for someone every single day, even if it
is simply to leave them alone.
Maybe giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they will love you
back. Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart;
but if it doesn't, be content that it grew in yours.
Maybe happiness waits for all those who cry, all those who hurt, all those who
have searched, and all those who have tried, for only they can appreciate
the importance of all the people who have touched their lives.
Maybe you shouldn't go for looks; they can deceive; don't go for wealth; even
that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile, because it takes only
a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find theone who makes your heart smile.
Maybe you should hope for enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials
to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to
make you happy.
Maybe you should try to live your life to the fullest because when you were
born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling, but when you
die, you can be the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.
